Look Ma, I got birthday fics!
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes this weekend! I get warm fuzzies to have so many people thinking of me. :)
My weekend was spent mostly painting and cooking and preparing to paint and cook, all of which involves soul-sucking amounts of shopping (I am not a shopper). I've fallen a bit behind with emails and IMs, but I'm slowing clearing the backlog.
I wanted to share the three (eee!!) fics I received for my birthday. They're all focused on Renji and Ichigo, and all quite different, but there's a common theme of awesomeness running through them all. :D You'll see when you read them.
'A Little Advice' from zeffyface, who really knows how to push my "OMG I love this kind of thing!" buttons. *grin* It's got Ichigo and Zabimaru, so you already know it's going to be fun and sassy.
'Retirement' from cmc42, a sad but comfortingly hopeful look at something that could all-too conceivably happen between Ichigo and Soul Society. Naturally, Renji features prominently, and wonderfully.
'Surprise' from kiyala, which surely surprised me to see her writing NC-17 RenIchi! What surprised me even more is how well a dedicated IchiIshi OTPer captured the essence of fantastic RenIchi banter and incorporated it into a spicy scene. It's hard to believe she hasn't been writing these two for ages.
