Warmer Days

Yesterday it was only 60 something and rainy/cloudy. Today it is 84, very humid, and occasionally sunny. What's the deal Minnesota?

Yesterday I went out in a summer dress, tights, cardigan and scarf, when I came home today I was only wearing the dress and carrying everything else as accessories, lol.

So a lot has happened since my last update, I think. At the same time, nothing's really happened, haha! Well Chris started his new semester of school last week so our waking schedule is quite up and down. Speaking of school, I finally decided that I want to go this time around. I'm still technically admitted to SCSU but I have to reapply once more. They have the rest of my stuff on file and they've waived the application fee, so that's great. I really hope to get into this Fall's schedule. That would be great. Even better if I get enough money/financial aid to cover a dorm as well. That would be preferable to getting my license, finding a cheap car, AND holding down a job that pays just enough to afford gas and insurance. I don't want to be that kind of commuter....exhaust already puts enough strain on the environment. I should probably just live on campus and take a bike around the city of St. Cloud.

So now, do you know why I've decided to go to school? Well it's something I've had rolling around in my mind for a really long time and now I want to make it a reality. I intend to get myself an English BA, with a minor in East Asian Studies/Japanese. Then, I'm gonna apply for a TESL certificate and work as an English teacher in Japan.

Yup. You read that right, kids.

I've always liked the idea of living in Japan for a while and it seems with such a high demand for English conversation instructors over there (and my already grand understanding of the language) it would be the perfect route to take. If I decide I don't want to stay there for years and years, once I come back to the states I'll have a good degree plus years of teaching already under my belt...shouldn't be too hard to find another job.

So in a few days, I'm gonna reapply to university and then work on finding a job and saving up money, whilst re-engaging in my old Japanese studies. Should be fun.

It's nice to be productive again.
