Nerve-wracking much?
So I just RSVP'd to my first ever Lolita meet up here in Minnesota. I happened to see the post on the MN_rufflebutts community about the Easter Egg Hunt thing and thought...hmm okay. So I messaged Chris about it and told him I wanted to go, to which he offered to drive me. He'll probably even let me dress him up - what a darling boyfriend eh?
I'm simultaneously excited and scared to death. Are these girls going to be brand snobs? Will I get along with any of them? Am I going to fit in, both aesthetically and socially? At least I'll have Chris with me, who will feel just as out of place. There's some comfort in that I suppose. And I already know what I'm gonna wear for it - it's the same outfit I'll be wearing to Easter dinner with my family so that simplifies things a lot.
I suppose for the meet I'll do something prettier with my hair though. For Easter I plan to just make my hair all wavy and curly, tie in low pigtails, and then tease the crap out of it. I may or may not add some wild hair accessories...depends on how the family reacts, I think they're still a little weird about my Lolita thing.
*sigh* I wish Chris was here tonight. I miss him when he stays in Eagan...but at least he'll be all moved back into Buffalo by this weekend. Totally awesome.
