Tonight I dined on chicken and beef fajitas with the family. It was pretty awesome. Sometimes I just sit back and observe the antics of my family and marvel that I'm actually here and happy now. Sometimes it still feels like a dream and I'm going to wake up one day to realize I'm still in Montreal and still miserable and lonely.
But this is real. I know it is. And I am happy.
So I've only been home just over a week now (officially) and I've already gotten so much done! I repainted my room - so it's a dark lavender with black trim, acquired a nice futon for sleeping, and started in with decor. I still need to hang up my pretty black damask curtains though.
I haven't been that social yet, but I have been hanging out with someone who's pretty amazing. Even though he doesn't think so. I keep hoping Emily will make it back up here one of these weekends though - since I'd love to see her again. And she has a kitten for me! I don't know if I'll be able to keep him here at my mom's place but it would be ideal. I just know Mom's cat would really hate it.
I don't really feel like looking for a job yet or anything, although I'm sure I could get one if I tried. As it is, I'm happy just spending my days doing surveys and making spending money on that. And once I get a sewing machine, I can start making things to sell on my Etsy shop again. ^_^
So there's my update for now. I'm doing well and I'm happy.
