Thank you, oh god thank you, for banning almost every RMT on Lakshmi. They're all gone! All of them! When Stayhigh told me, I didn't believe it at first, but /sea does not tell lies!
Naturally we had to take advantage of this before any other LS realized, so we assembled as quickly as possible, and headed up to Tu'Lia. Based on the evidence, one could easily infer that every NM should just...be up, unclaimed, wandering around, etc. Even so, it was hard to believe that no one was farming these, but sure enough...
One NM down, now to get the others! We made a break for Ve'Lugannon Palace to check on Zipacna, and sure enough, he was running his usual circuit, completely untouched.
With Zip down, it was off to the shrine!
After that we ran BACK over to Ve'Lugannon and got Steam Cleaner, which I don't have any pics of, but man, this was like Christmas; I'm not even sure I remember a time where things were like this, but it truly was a beautiful thing. We got so many things we needed, and afterwards, we ran back to Despot to catch the next window, to see that some other linkshells had finally clued in, and started assembling. So, now we had competition, but...that didn't matter much. ;)
Outclaimed 2 other linkshells to get a 2nd Gem of the West to end our spur of the moment farming session, it was a great feeling. Final tally? 2 Genbu, 2 Byakko, 1 Suzaku, 1 Seiryu. It got even better after that, when we figured we'd celebrate by popping the Genbus before the scheduled event for the night.
Was pretty shocked to see Z Mitts twice...definitely not complaining though! :) Congrats to Xenedra and Ashosho on the abjurations, I think all of our BLMs have a pair now! Also seen is us finally getting a kabuto drop, which went to Kiyoumi for his MNK. :D
Gotta say, I was feeling great at this point; I've complained so much about SE in the past, I mean, we all have to an extent, but this really made my day. What a difference-maker, this is just awesome. I dunno what happened to SE at the start of the new year, but I hope they keep it up. Between the RMT bannings, and the game-changing updates, I'm just loving the game more than ever.
So moving on from sky, we had planned to do some Alastor Antlions, 3 in total, which went pretty well overall.
I really don't like this NM to be honest; it's not that he's hard, just annoying, and if you're unlucky you can easily be overwhelmed. We almost wiped to the 2nd pop, just because the Feeler was spamming Executioners too quickly, and we ended up with 3 of them, and Alastor out spamming Breakga on us...not fun. We did manage to hold it until we recovered though, thanks to Lucrezia and Soujirou on BST. Beastmaster proved invaluable for this fight in many ways, so it was nice to see they still have some purpose. >.> Congrats to Stayhigh, Alveen and Sorite on Rostrum Pumps.
So overall a great day of accomplishments, got so many things done! And it's actually been a great week overall the more I think about it, between the stuff we did in sea that I talked about in my last update, and what we got done last night on the path TO sea!
We took on CoP 6-4 last night, with NIN/WAR, BLU/NIN, SAM/NIN, RNG/NIN, WHM/BLM, BLM/WHM, and absolutely destroyed. We won on our first try, and even though people had told me BLU rocked this fight, it was still hard to believe it was THAT amazing on it. Head Butt is just so broken on mobs that can be easily stunned by it...it's amazing. Afterwards it was late, but the group ran around to get all the CS they could, putting them one big step closer to sea, just in time for us to try tier 2s next week! Congrats again guys, you're in the home stretch!
As for other stuff, still haven't been to Dynamis, but we did this:
in Limbus the other night, completing my Omega set, so I imagine we'll be popping that tomorrow night. I would say, "Gee I hope body drops," but I've concluded that Homam Corazza doesn't ACTUALLY exist, it's only a myth. Seriously though, we're 0/12 or something stupid like that, maybe even higher at this point; it's reached a whole new level of ridiculous. But, all I can do is hope for the best I guess, so uh...here's hoping?
And lastly to wrap up this update, I have to post some screens I took of the post-O/U CS...I really had forgotten how awesome it was, having done it over a year ago now. Just wow.
And this next one is definitely my favourite, it's just so, sooo awesome.
Really wish there'd been a way to take away the HUD, but it looks amazing regardless. That does it for now, hopefully I'll have something worth talking about after Limbus tomorrow, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
