(no subject)
Today at work I was Floor Support. I didn't even ask to do it either, my trainer just flat out said "Okay, you guys are taking calls, Ryan G you'll be Floor Support." I was quite pleased and did the whole throwing my arms in the air exclaiming "Yes!" thing. Apparently I'm going to get to do it fairly often and in light of that I think I might switch to full time. Call centre work is insanely awesome when you aren't on the phones. Not that I mind taking calls for Nintendo in the slightest. I've taken about 25 calls total (would've been a lot more if I'd been taking calls for the last three of the five hours we were taking calls today) and I've had one call that was even close to irate. I wouldn't even really call it an irate call because I managed to de-escalate her pretty easily. Everything else has been peachy keen. Nobody uses that phrase anymore for some reason, and I'm thinking about taking it back for the white man. We'll see how that goes.
