[The tiger continues to purr, and takes a while before he does as told. He wants his scratches first. Then again, when his mouth is open, he purrs even louder.]

I promise. See? He won't hurt a fly.

[To prove his point, Tsuzuki places his hand on the rough side of Byakko's tongue. The shikigami's eyes widened, as id he's surprised and would have liked more warning than that.]

[and she stares at that for a long while]

[Byakko gapes wider, as if he wants to yawn. Damnit, Tsuzuki, get your hand out!]

[And incidentally, he shows off all of his teeth.]

[freezes, screams and runs for her life!]

[Pulling his hand away from the tiger's mouth in a hurry, he then runs after the little girl. Tsuzuki tries to catch her around her waist, to stop her.]

[she struggles, screaming, thinking that the scary tiger has caught her!]

[Byakko takes a few light steps, trying to judge the skill of his rider. He turns his head and talks.]

[Tsuzuki holds fast, worried she might hurt herself.] Calm down, it's just me!

[turns round and clings tightly to him]

[Byakko shrugs. He used to be able to fly, but he hasn't tried to fly in Luceti yet. He'd love to try, though!]

[Tsuzuki lets her burrow her face in the crook of his neck, while he shields her with his arms.] Nothing's going to hurt you. I promise.

Well, maybe you should see if you can fly first before I ride on you.

... the big cat really won't hurt Kirimi?

Nope! He's dumb as a rock, and he loves kids. [Byakko says "hey!" in the background and begins to walk in their direction.]
