Well, That Went Rather Well

I'll admit - this morning I wasn't too keen on today. It meant I'd be alone tonight after having to clean up my room (aka my apartment) which I'd have to do with little music... All in all, it looked kinda like it was going to be a blah day. I love it when the day decides to decides to prove me wrong and be kind.

First of all, I lost my phone. Well, actually, I left it and then, thanks to Chris, found it and reclaimed it from the restaurant we went to last night. Woo! Azteca rocks! ^^ *Ahem* Yeah. So, from there, I went to campus to buy my textbooks and Chris went back to his apartment. T'was a little saddening, but such is life.

When I got to school and parked, I called Brandon to see if he wanted to hang out for a bit. Getting everything for my Org. Chem class didn't take long. (They require you buy toys!!! Woo!!) After the quick jaunt shopping, Brandon showed me the new location for the campus police, where I got a parking permit (for a bloody $80). From there, we went back out into the balmy 104 degree sunshine in search of ice cream. Given that I had not yet eaten a real meal, I passed on the ice cream, though, and had fun crisp-ifying. There was a stop by the library to find a CD for me to listen to while cleaning (it had to have Toccata and Fugue in D minor on organ). It took a while, but Brandon finally found a CD that had exactly that. Eventually, we walked back to my car to drop off my stuff and then proceeded to his room, which is in a very nice, new building. It was quite a nice time! And then I looked out and saw what appeared half of the dirt/construction pit outside his window blowing by... About that time, he got a call asking him to help out with a practice of some sort and then something about a large storm moving in. That was my cue to get out of there before driving in rain was mandatory.

As I got out of the car, the first drops of rain were falling from the sky and the wind tried to blow things out of my trunk. (It did manage to blow some of the leaves off the car! Woo!) After trotting through the intense wind (wind that plastered my pants to my legs - a tricky feat, considering I've been wearing cargo pants), I got to my apartment and got ready to clean. I guess I didn't mention that my neighbor has/had a rabbit in a cage outside their door. When I got back, I was highly tempted to go introduce myself and ask if they were going to bring the rabbit in, but... I didn't. Now I can't help but wonder how the rabbit's doing. So, I put the new CD in the player and have now listened to it at least twice through. Mmmmm. Bach. Organs. ...Mmmmmm.

So! Yes. My apartment is now organized and I am greatly relieved that the bookstore wasn't giving out condoms to girls buying textbooks (I got a mysterious package from the bookstore and was kinda fretting that it was condoms or something just and...not wanted, in my case). Mayhaps I'll go back to campus to buy scissors and an exacto knife to see if I'll another package. Who knows.

Anywho! I had a nice chat with my parents, which resulted in my trying not to laugh, made sure Chris had gotten back to his place, rather than dying horridly in the storm, and enjoyed discussing Godzilla and four year olds with M-chan (among other things, yes). Now, in spite of the love seat trying to take my nail off, I'm happily fed (yay leftover spaghetti and green beans!) and feeling quite at home here in my...hotel-esk apartment.

Well, that's the best I can do for not having updated in the past two or so weeks. Yes, I am still alive, so y'all can put away the celebration streamers and party decorations for now. *grins*
