Nanashi

Well, I made it safely to Croatia after what felt like an epic trip. The things I have experienced between my last entry and now...Man oh man. (Not in actual order)

In Chambéry, France:
- Said a speech in front of a bunch of super important people from the University of Savoie. Also, sent in written equivalent to Erik, vice-dean dude. Will be getting published. In FRANCE.
- Got a tour of Chambéry, jetlag made me tired but the city is awesome!
- Have been consistently drinking/going out since week 1
- Have become a connoisseur of Rosé's...and Riesling
- Visited J.J Rousseau's crib. Most awesome, despite the rainy weather
- Clubbing in France is awesome. Have gone out 5 nights: Was Itay's wingman at a club that was celebrating the nursing student's grad...so many sexy nurses
- Had goodbye Prof Woody dinner. So delicious and fun...seeing my prof a little drunk was hella entertaining! It was sad to see her go, espeically since Dumont is a liiiittle cray cray.
- Went on an excursion to a farm...boring as shite but we got to try delicious cheese and fruits
- Also got a tour of Savoie - Technolac (most useful for my final project on Solar and Wind Energy)
- Did not get to drive Solar vehicules at Solar Event = le saaaaaad
- Saw the France/England soccer game in an English bar. Drank a Giraffe of beer
- Celebrated Kait's birthday: got 13 complementary tequila shots for our table. Fantastic night.
- Ate pizza from Pizza Kebab, thanks to our Algerian home boiiii
- Saw a rugby match. The guys are so hot it's ridiculous!
- Spent a day in Lyon because we couldn't go to Le Martelloscope, spent almost an hour in a toystore, wandered around the beautiful city. Ate crepes...the bus ride home took 3 hours. It was painful, but fun.
- Had goodbye dinner with Dumont and a couple of my classmates :P it was a little uptight but still fun. Delicious food galore!
- Chased the sun with Kait, Jess and Victor. Had nutella and a hot baguette at 6:30 am. Totally worth it. All nighter was amazing! Great fun and great tunes were heard!
- Successfully completed the final project and...officially unofficially graduated from UNIVERSITY BITCHES!
- Was super sad to say good-bye to Jess and Kait, Itay and Victor, they are so awesome, I had a ton of fun with them

In Zurich, Switzerland
- Went barhopping with Paula
- tried B-52's (3 shots...on FIRE) and had a sexy Asian bartender...she was soooo fine!
- Got hit on by a Brit dude in a bar called Kon-tiki
- Gross munster observatory thing: fuuuuckload of stairs
- Ate fondue (and Riesling)
- Went to Sprunglis
- Had sexy sushi
- rode on a ferris wheel, saw the city from up high
- Movenpick Icecream!
- Wandered around Zurich. Such a beautiful city! All da mountains! Took an insane amount of pictures
- ...and fresh water
- Ate meat off an EPIC sword. A traditional Swiss dish...while watching Portugal play against Netherlands...I think.
- Went to Cabaret Voltaire twice: aka where Dadaism originated from. Very weird and cool art movement
- Saw a sexy pinup girl store, wanted everything in it...but alas, could not afford it
- Also went to Jules Verne café: super expensive fancy 360 view of Zurich
- Saw Agent Provocateur but alas could not go in

In Montreux, Switzerland
- drank wine on a boat
- Went to Chateau de Chillon which is a big ass chateau/prison. Super pretty!
- ate a cheese platter/tarte aux pommes/crepes/hot chocolate
- took picture of Freddy Mercury statue
- got friendship bracelets with Paula
- had a hell of a hard time getting back, had to take a shuttle bus from Geneva but totally worth it!

In Madrid, Spain
- learned the gastronomy and food culture!
- got drunk from 3:30 pm - 4am on tinto de veranos and Calimoxos
- ate Morcilla de Burgos = boudin aka pig's blood with rice
- Saw the sunset that started at 9:24pm
- Drinks + tapas = way of life
- Kept getting drinks on the house from El Museo del Jamon (ham museum)
- Saw the highlights of Madrid (main square, palace, church, army base, downtown madrid, San Miguel Market...
- Went to the music festival 2 nights in a row (got to appreciate how awesome Mecano is)
- Saw the Spain - France soccer match outside with a bunch of Marta's friends
- Hung out with Marta (after 6 years) man, I love having friends that I can go for long periods of time without seeing them and it's like no time has passed. It was so nice to catch up with her
- Saw the Prado art Museum which was awesome!!
- Souvenir shopping

In Vienna, Austria
- Ran through the airport
- bought a souvenir!
- Mozart = Mah boiiiiii!

In Zagreb, Croatia
- Toured downtown walking. Martina spilled a drink on herself. It was hella funny!
- Saw the Technical museum: so many planes, submarines, satellites, old cars and trains! Oh my!
- Learned about cafe culture
- Drank honey flavoured and walnut flavoured brandy
- So many cocktails!
- Got a tour of a fancy new mall!
- Saw pretty lake beach area. Hot men playing beach volleyball. Shirtless. Enough said.

Two days left of my stay in Zagreb, then I'm off to Paris for one night (I'm hoping to see Oscar Wilde's tomb) and then back to Toronto...where real life and job hunting will commence at full force.

Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!
ME!
