Um...is there any recourse? Are foreigners protected under any labor laws?

See, that's the thing. I believe I *am* protected under labor laws, but can I a) get anyone to pay attention and b) afford legal help for less than seven hours' wages?

As much as it galls me, my best option might be to use this (and the threat of my quitting and forcing them to train someone else on the food line and register) to get concessions in other areas...say if I wanted to take a day off and couldn't get a replacement.
