Concert post. Dave Matthews Band in Lucca, July the 5th, 2009.
This is just about the evening...
So, the concert. I admit that I am completely unable to do a nice explanation, so forgive me in advance.
The stage was the biggest I have ever seen (okay, I’ve been just to a couple of real concerts, so my opinion is not so reliable), and was very nice. When we got there, the service had already put together the instruments, and was checking the lights.
We started to be around the concert area at 3 p.m. maybe? At 5 they started the sound-check.
It was incredibly hot, but there was already a bunch of people in front of the stage… But we went to see a bit of the surroundings when we came to know that at 6 p.m. they would have kicked out everybody to put barriers around the square, and let everybody in from like… 7.30.
The night began with an opening band that sucked SO much you can’t even imagine… but then…
At 9, they came on stage, to give us three hours and a half of wonderful music. And I was like in the 3rd row, \^o^/ on the left of the stage, in front of Boyd ♥.

[here it was a bit of a problem XD we started singing “hani hani, come and dance with me…” so they had to change the schedule, and sing #36 and Everyday! Awesome! He was so happy!]

Rye Whiskey song [This was funny XD He introduced it like “The next song, is about drinking whiskey. It’s a drinking song!” LOL But to me sounded like a drunk song hahaha ]

And here the concert ended. Really, I’m still slightly shocked.
And the thing is, now I just… can’t listen to the studio albums. Just the lives! Because his songs are made to be listened to during a concert, feeling the strength, and the passion he puts into it… not speaking that his musicians are monsters.
