Yeah, I like to play with pairings that should never work and figure out a way to give them some kind of common ground. But speaking from a canon point of view, I don't see it, but it's still fun.
I also don't see Liz dating someone like a detective. Not on the same level as she is, class wise. It would be a tough sell.
Kate and I actually talked about Liz/Cragen. I almost threw her that as the prompt from her meme, but I thought that would be cruel. The age would work, and maybe their maturity would keep them going, but beyond that... nah. Liz/Liv was mean enough.
And yea, everytime we have set something up with that pairing (Liz.Liv), they just clash too badly with each other. Liv is too strong a character and too martyr-y for Liz to deal with and there is no way Liv would follow her rules for more than a one off.
I like when Liv is in trouble. I think this the hardest ship for us to justify, and I like what you did here.
