Mankind needs an authority greater than itself to say what is normative.
When you think about this, it's basic logic. If we're answerable to no one,
we're our own gods. If we're answerable to no one, you can't prove we should
have equal rights --where do those laws come? Rights come ultimately from
our value before God. As creator, he knows the value of his creation.
Without appeal to God's existence you have no way to say why "rights" are
right. There's no logic behind it. You can call the guy who questions them a
moral midget, but you can't say why he is. There is no foundation to your
conviction......
~very very interesting....~
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My day has been okaay. I went to school today and went to a Pep assembly, it was really weak,
the worst ever. But whatever, it happened and now its a new day...
BUt i just finished this 3 hour conversation with my 19 year old brother, on life, morals, ethics,
God, religions, race, dogmas, and essentially everything. We touched some pretty interesting topics,
and I think I have discovered some new answers, as to who I am. Both of us ended our conversation feeling
much more confident on the subjects from this awesome exchange of opinions. I really felt like I dug into
him more, and understanding him, and why he is the way he is. Although I tend to be very upfront,
there is a lot about me, things in which my family are completely oblivious to, and maybe it might stay
that way. I dunno, but that was cooL, and also an immediate high.
And i gotta go read, because its killing me. And yeah I guess you really gotta look into to people,
as well as at them. Cuz otherwise you will miss a whole lot and just might not be able to look at the
clock and make a U-turn at the strike of midnight... once again whatever that means.
~I must slip away~
~mysteri...as i shall remain.
