Holy aorta, batman!

I just dissected a large sheep's heart. Can you say....awesome??!? It was amazing to look at just how much muscle amasses the organ. Most of the fatty tissue was surrounding the arteries up at the top.
I found it hard to locate the valves though, as they are small, and made of thin, but very durable matter surrounded by more stringier things. (sure, stringier *is* a scientific term)
hah. also discovering just exactly what a heart murmur is gives me a little more insight to my mild condition, and what that might look like.
yay for science.
