Well I've been rolling this announcement out pretty gradually, and many of the people who actually read this occasional blog already know, but for the record and for all the world to hear: I am getting married. !!!!
*please imagine my big giddy slightly-dazed grin right here*
My Chicago boy proposed a couple weeks ago now, right outside the security checkpoint at Midway Airport, in front of an impromptu audience. I cried. He looked a little misty too, actually, though I think he was mostly relieved that the whole thing went off without a hitch!
He is moving here. And if anyone hears about a good job for an English teacher with a lot of writing instruction experience at the university level, please let us know.
My parents are already bickering over the merits of potential wedding venues. We have not set a date yet but are currently discussing late September or early October. My head is swimming with all the things that need to be organized.
But I am very very happy.
