Cold
It´s too cold here. -25° during the day is not funny, not funny at all.
Some observations, details we live here in every day life:
-> My nose freezes inside, that tickles and feels weird.
-> My legs hurt after like 5 minutes of walking outside, only have leg warmers and no Long John´s (do I really have to wear them?)
-> When I open the window after having taken a shower, I can actually see the cold air come in ... it´s like foam! :-S
-> My breath coming through the shawl condensates straight away on my glasses. There, the foam of course freezes within a second and thus I am half blind most of the time.
-> My eyes are tearing (? tränen??) all the time, and then my eye lashes freeze, which makes it hard to wink and sometimes they are like glued together.
-> Even my apart (also known as Lorne Sauna) is kind of frisky right now!
-> Will spend ridiculous amounts of money on cabs to go whereever I wanna go.
-> The mere thought of going out there consumes enough energy to make me tired!!
-> Best solution is probably HIBERNATION!!
One question: how is permanent settlement possible in an area this fucking cold? Why do people chose to live here? How do they cope, because even all of them are whining about the cold all the time (except for the moments of glory where they make fun of the internationals freezing their bums off!).
This is when I just wanna leave and go home in wärmere Gefilden! Booboboooooooo...
