Starbucks is gay
You all know my sexual orientation soapbox, so I'm not going to address that at the moment. What's ironically frustrating about the whole thing is how superficial it is. "Oh, they pulled the cups, so it's okay." Starbucks not only gives homosexual intellectuals a space on their coffee cups, they have supported pride events in several cities. But now that the danger of a quote essentially urging others to be true to themselves (and promote homosexuality! don't forget that! this cup just might make you queer.) has been closely averted, I don't think it will affect Starbucks sales on this campus one bit.
Though, if you're ordering a quad-venti-white chocolate mocha frap, I don't think the cup's your problem.
Thank you again, unnamed citizen of Baylor and the campus Starbucks, for once again showing me that appearances are all that really matter.
