...*sigh*
So much for that all excited Shaunna. I came back to my apartment not long ago and took out mine and matt's rat, Sephiroth. Well...he was hyper as all hell and wouldn't stay put and I gave up trying to keep him on my shoulder or my lap and I didn't want him to get lost in the room so I put him back. I turned around and sat down and suddenly there was this high pitched squealing. So I jumped up and turned around thinking that maybe he was fighting with his father again. But then I remembered that we had moved him to another cage. Well..his hind leg was stuck in the stairs and like I paniced. He managed to yank his leg out and I took off the top of the cage and realized it was probably dislocated rather than broken because when I felt it..well it didn't feel like a broken bone.
Well..I freaked and started crying and called my mom and she told me that I could call the Emergency vet and what not or I could wait until morning to take him to our vet. It would cost a whole tone of money to bring him to a vet right now this late at night..money I just don't have. So...now I have to wait all night and take him to my vet tomorrow morning. I just hope he's really ok and that he didn't do any nerve damage or anything...omg
Willow and Becca came home while I was getting off the phone with my mom so they helped me bet out the glass tank and put him in that and then get him calmed down and everything. He's not in any serious pain thank god but he isn't walking on it or anything. Willow was going to splint it until he realized that it wasn't his foot but more like his hip knee joint. He thought about popping it back into place himself but then again he doesnt know much about the rat anatomy so then he decided against it. So...my poor little baby is stuck like that all night. I just hope he'll do ok until I can get him to the vet.
