Nifty sky and some kitties

Nov 13, 2013 18:59

They sky over Portland's harbor was really nifty yesterday afternoon. There was a huge bank of clouds splitting the sky in half. The sun was near the middle and partially obscured by the edge of the formation.

The bank went completely across the sky, horizon to horizon. (I couldn't get a better picture, being in a car and on a bridge.)

The kitties love their new Armarkat condo. It's taller than I am, has two platforms at the top, a hut at the middle, many posts to scratch, and levels that extend below what's shown in the photo. (They enjoy scratching at the lower levels and climbing up through the hole in the middle of one section.)
Pictured: Gossy, top, Phoenix second tier, and Marley in the hut.

This is the look they give me when they know something awful is going to happen. (I came in with the crinkle-packet of flea treatment. Oh no!)

My trip to the thrift store earlier in the day resulted in a new radio alarm clock. It's in perfect working condition! Kalli won't have to use my old dud of a cellphone as her morning alarm now. Gossy, of course, thinks it's a new bed. I've got a new picture to add to my 'Gossy on stuff' collection, apparently.
