Not everyone who owns a gun has the idea that they are owning it so that every little noises they hear can be shot at. Sometimes people are stupid. Duh, they're people. But the majority of people who own guns don't go around shooting other people. Otherwise, we'd have a lot less people in the world.

And the majority of people who shoot others/themsleves accidentally are not trained in firearm use. Something that needs to be brushed-up on frequently. Getting rusty with your own weapon isn't going to make you safe either.

Firearm possession is legal. And it's going to stay that way, because it is so in our federal constitution. Thank goodness. If there is one thing we need guns for it's to protect ourselves against our government.

People who think guns are bad are forgetting something. No weapon is inherently evil. It is only the person that uses it that determines that. I learned that in 4th grade- when I was NINE. At nine years old I knew something that a majority of the adult population refuses to hear. What does THAT say about people?

If you want to be afraid, be afraid. But don't use that as an excuse to force us to get even more creative with weaponry than we already are.
