August 31st, 2007, NBC anchor: At the top of the hour, we have some breaking news coming from the Middle East as the second half of the President's term is proving to be a tough one, but that may not be the case shortly. Reports of Republic forces invading Iraq have been spreading like wildfire as insurgants are getting pounded, city by city, by what seems to be a fresh line of troops supporting US forces in key cities. No prior warning was given by the president of the Sanction as, with a secret meeting with Republic Legislatures, passed a bill to declare war on all insurgents in Irag from present time to an indefinite ending that could be decided by a decisive treaty signed by a key operative behind the recent strikes in Iraq. Jim Maceda, reporting.

Jim: Brian, I cannot even begin to describe to you the sobering effect of seeing... what seemed to be M1A1 tank chassis with dual miniguns mounted on a large turret... heavily armed troops... and bombs blasting all around me. The President has urged all reporters to stay underground from the sheer ferocity of the Republican Armored Forces, as fresh troops replace exhausted US soldiers lacking morale in the war against terrorism. I mean, we're speaking of young men who have never experienced war firsthand going head-on with anyone other than US forces or Iraqi police. In fact, just a few minutes ago, president Gregory Howle declared a 24-hour curfew for all civilians for the next 2 weeks to seperate the insurgants from innocent bystanders, but I have to stay that... this... genocide seems to be nothing but-

Brian: Was that a bomb that just went off outside?

Jim: No, that's the artillery going off. Jim, they got weapons we've never seen. Cannons stretching out further than most of our artillery. I believe they use what they call the Great 66's, which designates that the bore size is 2/3's of a foot in diameter. The shells they use are simply bombs launched by ballistic means, and they're firing them at extremely acute angles, calling for a lot of-

Brian: So you're saying they're using tanks to fire bombs into cities?

Jim: ... yes, bombs, along with advanced technology all designed for maximum punishment. None of these troops have any consideration for religious foundations, important artifacts or buildings. There are already reports coming in of hospitals, banks, other important structures being destroyed. It's utter chaos!

Brian: And how is President Bush reacting to all this?

Jim: I'm not exactly sure. All this started about 2 hours ago. I'd be assured he's not very happy about this, but it'd be very devistating for such a weakened army to try to fight this form of opposition. There's been a few of those who already say that the... I think they call them M203 Badgers, the main battle tanks... are far superior to the Abrams. They carry some of the most advanced tracking, detection, ERC systems... basically self-driven machines capable of firing 30MM hyper velocity projectiles at over 3,000 rounds per minute. Each of these shells are travelling well over twice the speed of a standard tank shell along with timed detonation, and I'm speaking of each round is actually timed for maximum effect. For instance, the first rounds would explode milliseconds after partially puncturing armor just to make way for the latter rounds, which would explode just on time to send chunks of metal throughout the cabin of the tank. If the army was to have to face this kind of thread, it'd be disasterous. The Navy would be unable to respond, because there are already airbourne units taking Air Superiority. Brian, all this may just be rumor, but I think it's enough to upset the US forces.

Brian: We're just getting in reports that are confirming yours, speaking of civillian casualties. What's keeping them from taking out US forces as well?

Jim: Well, their Air Force isn't quite as advanced as ours, and if they were to fight the US, it'd be a very tough battle, indeed. It's just a matter of what is in the best interest for the two of them. It's expected that insurgent encounters to drop fast, as anyone in their way is just being torn up. I don't think any religious fanatic would want to deal with a force this ferocious.

Brian: What about back at home?

Jim: And here is the scariest part: This isn't the majority of their army, either. If they were to take the fight on their front, there's already shelters being put up only for those who are natives. Any immigrants are being asked to leave or find shelter elsewhere, including those from Asia, the US, and so forth. They're very serious about this matter, and it may not be just Iraq, either.

Brian: What more do we expect to see in the future?

Jim: Hopefully, more about this force in Iraq, what they plan to do in the future, and why. I think a lot of it is "Let US deal with the inlanders, we'll take car of the outlanders" attitude. They're not afraid to kick out foreigners to succeed in the war of terror. It's just becoming one big slaughter, in my opinion. We'll just have to see what the President has to say about this.

Brian: Thank you, Jim.

End feed.
