I went a-shootin' yesterday. Never shot real guns before. My friend's friend "J" had a few pistols for us to try, and my friend got a 12g shotgun.
Lessons:
1. Guns are not scary as long as you are not an idiotic waste of egg and sperm.
2. Shooting is fun.
3. The sole purpose of a gun is to kill. Respect it and everything is cool.
4. I don't need to own a gun.
5. I would like to go shooting more often and get good. It felt like years of video games were finally vindicated.
6. Relax. No matter what happens, it's all ok in the grand scheme of things.
