I'm getting really annoyed in that I can't find a decent paying job that doesn't involve tips. I've lately been worn out by driving and the stupidity of people who don't realize that delivery drivers are expected to make tips. We get paid only minimum wage because we are expected to earn tips, we're like waiters. I don't understand why people think we get good pay checks just because we drive. The only reason we make $15 an hour is quite literally because of tips. Colorado minimum wage is $7.00 and that is what Pizza Hut pays me as a driver. The rest of my income is from tips and the generosity of customers, and most often I get more income from tips than I do from my base wages. I hate people who thing that tipping drivers is just "a nice thing to do" ... it would be nice if it weren't expected, but if people didn't tip us, I certainly couldn't afford my own job just because the amount of money I spend on gas.
