Righto! It's the DH post.
First, I have to say that I have a few a lot of theories; I have all sorts of posts in my head in which I want to discuss what's going to happen, who's going to die, etcetera etcetera - one of which has 1000 words(!) written of it already. There's all SORTS of things that I want to talk about, and I can't wait to get

I too have seen a lot of people that are okay with it, moving on and stuff, but I keep feeling a little bit sad. I'm not ready for it, yet! I mean, I want to find out what happens, and stuff, but I'm really just not quite ready. *tries to prep self*
And oh boy, do I know what you mean about canon plausibility equalling interest in a pairing. I wonder if that's kinda what made me lose interest in Remus/Sirius--it's not as if I was ever a huge shipper, but shoebox_project made it seem all possible and stuff. You know, establishing an alternate history. But to have Remus longing after Tonks in the wake of Sirius's death, well, that seemed to put an end to that theory. At least in my mind. I mean, even so, I can still enjoy it, but it definitely doesn't have that "I can see that within the scope of canon" flavor. It'll be interesting, I think, because people will be able to run WILD with pairings after canon is through. They can do anything they want with the characters afterwards, after all!

Hmm, interesting. My pairings are pretty boring ... I wonder, if with nothing left to "prove", I will be branching out? Shock! Horror! In-ter-es-ting. But I'm also scared of post-DH fic (I know, I know, my hp heart is so in the right place). I've seen comments along the lines of "DH will make H/G easier and funner to write as it will clear up their relationship and resolve it" and I'm just like what?! I can already see the plethora of happy, maybe smutty, Harry/Ginny picnic fics we will be invaded by. And, no offence to anyone, but KILL ME NOW.

*cries* They will be nearly, if not worse, than the plethora of "sunlit days by the lake" outtakes. *facedesk* which is why I will likely stick to my tried-and-true writers, with maybe some recs by people that I respect. Call me a snob, I DUN CARE.
However, depending on how the ship turns out (or if one of them dies and it's completely thwarted) there could be really great possibilities for nice, plotty H/G. Not that I ever really read long plotty fics, but there could be good stuff. Especially if the book doesn't end with a gigantic obhwf wedding where everyone is married and happy and snuggly safe and wonderful. (Wouldn't that sort of be a hilarious nightmare?) So I think it would almost be better if their relationship was left unresolved in the end; with hope and promise, but not necessarily a big squishy "WE'LL BE TOGETHER FOREVERANDEVER" type thang.

PERFECT: as long as there was some promise. I mean, the double wedding WOULD be hilariously bad (only Pride & P can get away with that)(omg just remembered that rowling is a Jane Austen fan 0_o) but, as a loser-shipper, I have to admit to something that I, personally, would find worse: H & G both surviving, and deciding to go their separate ways because Harry decided to be like Frodo and go off in a big boat to the undying lands - my evil friend predicts this on a daily basis. This would quite possibly cause me to jump off a cliff ( ... )
