Apple Crumble, Apple Tart: some notes
I've just posted the final chapter of the Ron/Hermione I started posting this summer. I have a few quick notes:
+ Firstly, MASSIVE THANK YOU to anyone who read and/or reviewed. Or even if you left mad angry comments! Fandom is fun and I have missed it.
+ The story came about when I was sitting in the back of a car being driven somewhere in early 2007, staring out the window and listening to the Kate and Anna McGarrigle album Matapedia. My mum is a huge fan of theirs and when the album came out in the 90s it got played a lot in my house. The songs that jump-started the story are Matapedia and Hang Out Your Heart (of which I can find no link!!! D:).
+ That first chapter was originally a one-shot. But then I thought, What did Ron do next? And George and Ginny decided to get involved and suddenly the whole thing snowballed.
+ Harry/Daphne. This was a thing that wrote itself. I was trying to figure out how to end the drunken bonding scene as I was writing it, and it was less that I figured the ending out and more that I realised what was going to happen, and sort of ... did nothing to prevent it. Harry and Ginny had a way of steamrolling their way into every story I wrote. They are just not good at behaving themselves as a nice background couple.
+ Randomly, my parents went to Ambleside a few weeks ago and brought me back a chocolate hedgehog. (It is a real place and it is very beautiful!)
+ I am SO SO GLAD I finished this story and posted it.
+ If you have found your way here from another website, this is my fandom/personal Livejournal. My fanfic Livejournal is kissesforcrises, and it contains all fic I have ever written.
+ I owe a huge thanks to excitedrainbow for encouraging me and proof-reading every chapter from China. She has been absolutely magnificent and I owe her a HUGE thanks!
