In which I really did used to like Christmas music
I'm going to be taking 2 weeks off from work after the holidays (one week for padraiceen's visit, one week for San Jose) and goddamn it cannot come soon enough. If I hear motherfucking Frosty the Snowman ONE MORE TIME...
I've been playing the GBA remake of Kirby's Adventure the last couple of days and finally managed to 100% the game with only slight help from the internet (spark + spark = hammer! my mind was blown). So I beat the game and find out that, like most remakes, Nightmare in Dreamland comes with a few extra features. One of them is the option to, after you beat the game with 100%, unlock an "extra" mode where you play through the whole game again... with 3 health. That's half the health you usually get in the game, so it's really quite hard. I'm decent at the game despite being fairly bad at platformers in general, but every single boss has been a challenge to beat with only 3 health. It took me about 10 tries to finally beat Meta Knight, the stupid bastard.
Of course, playing through this mode and beating it means I get to unlock Meta Knight as a playable character, which should be... quite interesting...
