Does anyone know of and can direct me to any websites that discuss Akira and Takumi as they appear in the Otome manga?

I ask because a plotbunny for a T/A ficlet, where Akira's an Otome, has bitten me. And I'm told that she is Takumi's Otome in the manga, so I need to know if I'd be way off canon or just retelling it. Any help would be greatly

I've been looking for it myself for a long time. Everyone keeps saying it (That Akira is an Otome in the manga) but no one's been able to offer me any proof. (Like a picture)

Well, my 'hearing' is here: the Wikipedia article on My-Otome says, and I quote: In the manga, she is an Otome known as the "Mysterious Peridot."And that's it, I know no more. I'm assuming either a) there is more manga actually published than 2 volumes, or b) wikipedia, being written and updated by members of the general public, has been misinformed by a fan who thinks All Otome Are Cool and/or All Hime Are Otome and/or Akira, the Mysterious Peridot is Something That Should Happen

I agree with your theory on "b", because of exactly what you mentioned above. I thought for sure Akane was no longer a Meister and then bam! It threw me for a loop and she was. (And damn if those cat ears weren't adorable!)

With Otome fandom, I'm not believing it til I see it.

I don't know any website that has information about Akira & Takumi, but they do actually appear in the Mai Otome manga and they appear more often than in the anime ♥ They are first seen in volume 3, chapter 22, I believe. (picture)

Unlike in the anime, Akira is an otome in the manga, and indeed Takumi's otome. (one & two)

Hope this helps a bit, I'm sorry I'm not of more of use, I have all the releases up to chapter 35, but I can't read Japanese ^^;

Thank you for the pictures! It wouldn't be hard for them to appear more in the manga than the anime, they have all of one episode (and ten seconds in the finale). Ah well.

In my fic (that I do intend to post here), it's an account of how Akira becomes Takumi's Otome, which is why I wanted a synopsis of their manga backstory. Still, it's not like I'm writing canon, is it?
