Ok guys, so I just went out and bought all of the albums of the Power Metal band Dragonforce. And oh my god, I love them. They can rock pretty damn hard, which is always something I respect, but the best part is how delightfully lame their lyrics are. Seriously. Half the songs remind me of anime opening themes, only with english lyrics (yes, the lyrics are THAT unflinchingly lame). Here's a good example:
"On the black wind forever we ride on together
Destroying your Evil with Freedom our guide.
When the Master will call us,
He'll stand high before us,
Our hearts filled with splendour.
Our swords will shine over the light!"
Or, even better:
"Across the highest mountains,
And through the endless seas,
Our journey ever onwards
Fight until we all be free.
Through the darkness shining the neverending light,
On through the days of glory,
Rise towards the fight"
And the songs only get better from there. Just...oh man. I haven't stopped listening to this band since I bought these albums.
On another note, I have decided that Black Sabbath isn't my kind of metal. Too slow for tastes. But whatever, the CD was free.
