So today I went to an air show at McChord air force base in Tacoma. most of it was pretty okay. Air force recruting boothes all around, expensive food, etc; but oh man, when those jets do their low altitude, high speed flybys. holy crap. its awesome. They're so frikkin cool. I think the highlights were the displays by an F-18 Hornet, an F-15 Eagle, and later (as I was going home but they still do flybys in the surrounding neighborhoods to get lined up) the Thunderbirds (a team of F-16 Fighting Falcons). I think it's just so amazing seeing this 50 foot long, 30 foot wide, 15 foot tall, feat of engineering and technology streaking through the sky at 1/3 the speed of sound 200 feet above you. and the sound, oh man, goosebumps. Its just this amamzing roar that follows behind the jets that makes them feel like a force of nature. being there and watching them soar and arc and blast by makes me feel like they are some kind of gigantic arrowhead shaped instruments of god or something. man, so cool. (as you can tell, I was thoroughly impressed)

in other news, I'm going to be leaving the country tomorrow!

yup, it's not actually a big deal, we're just going to victoria bc for a week. : ) so I'll catch up on my friends page and talk to you guys then! (in 7 days) Have a good week America!
