“You know the person, Hikaru.” This time Inoo locked her eyes on Hikaru’s looking so serious.
Hikaru’s eyes widened. There’s someone’s smile came to her mind. But she did not want to believe. She did not someone else took the smile from her.
“I love Yabu…” Inoo finally confessed her true feelings.
Hikaru gasped, nearly lost her balance. She leaned on the edge of the table as her support. She was really shocked with Inoo’s sudden confession. She understood Yabu and Inoo had a special relationship before. However she never expected the love would someday blossom again in Inoo’s heart. “How?” Hikaru managed to ask as she felt her heart throbbing.
“I don’t know for sure, Hikaru… What I remember is it started since Yabu said he had proposed you. I felt my heart pain the time he said that. Every time I look Yabu gave you his attention, I’m angry and upset. I miss his attention to me so badly. I feel likes a dumb why I could let him go from my side, why I could let him fell in love with you. And what made me angry the most is the fact he proposed you. When Yabu and I had relationship, he never said about it even once. You’re so lucky, Hikaru. Or should I say I envy you?” Inoo explained and Hikaru simply forced a smile.
“That isn’t needed, you know it. I bet Takaki ever mention about commitment on your relationship, too. He really loves you, Inoo-chan.”
Inoo shook her head weakly. “We never talk about commitment unlike you and Yabu. We only let it flow, let time shows what we should do for the next steps. And I don’t know why we never think about it, at least, engagement.”
“Then, why don’t you ask Takaki about it?” Hikaru was curious.
Inoo a bit hesitated to reply. “I… I’m not sure he is the one I want to stay by my side forever, Hikaru…”
“WHATTT???” Hikaru snapped. “What’s wrong with you, Inoo-chan? You’re not sure? You and he have been together for years… so… how you could….”
“I don’t understand either. The longer I have relationship only made the anxious grow bigger and bigger. I can’t wholly trust him, spending the rest of my life with him. And then Yabu told us he proposed you and was going to marry you soon. It feels like something snap me back to the reality. The reality that I fall in love with Yabu.”
“I don’t catch your intention, Inoo-chan. Do you realize you can hurt him? Like I said before, he really loves you. I feel it and I believe you felt it as well. How tender and caring he is to you.” Hikaru was not able to accept all of what Inoo told to her.
“You’re right, Hikaru. I can’t deny it. He’s so tender and caring… but… recently he doesn’t…”
“EH??? What do you mean?” Hikaru startled.
“Yuuya… he… likes… another person as well… Hikaru…” Inoo hesitated to tell Hikaru that she and Takaki had another person to love since few months ago.
Hikaru widened her eyes. She hardly to believe what Inoo had just said, what actually happened in JUMP recently. How could Hikaru not realize something happened in JUMP? Was it because she was too focused with her wedding until she did not see anything? Hikaru began wondering and blaming herself. If there was something in JUMP, she could not stop thinking it was her responsibility. It maybe caused by the intensity Yabu and Hikaru being the one to be reprimanded if JUMP did mistakes. “Who is it?”
Inoo let out a deep sighed before answered, “Yuuya… recently… looks you… more than his best friend.”
Hikaru froze, as if her brain rejected to register the words Inoo voiced few seconds before.
“He likes you, Hikaru… a lot…” The older woman continued. Inoo maybe had advantage with this situation; she could not be fully blamed if they broke up as she loved Yabu. Takaki must be blamed too, for not being a devoted lover.
“No… that’s not true… it must be a mistake… Takaki won’t feel something like that to me, Inoo-chan…” Hikaru desperately denied.
“It’s true, Hikaru! I heard it from Takaki!! He said he likes you!” Inoo shouted, trying to make Hikaru believed in her words. “I was eavesdropped his talk with Dai-chan by accident when we had a break after we fight. I clearly heard how care he was about your feeling. He did not want to see you were sad if someday you found out that I fall in love with Yabu again. I never saw him so serious thinking about something, Hikaru. But, when it came to you… he…”
“You got it wrong, Inoo-chan. Takaki is not someone like that.” Hikaru argued.
“I don’t think so. I know him well, Hikaru. I’m his girlfriend after all.”
Hikaru then showered Inoo with many questions so she could reconsider her conclusion. “Have you asked Takaki about this? Have you heard from himself, directly, face to face, that he sees me more than his best friend?”
Inoo silenced. She had not talked about it with Takaki face to face. She knew Takaki would protect Hikaru. He would not say the fact the person he loved now was Hikaru, his best friend’s fiancée.
“What if his care purely only because of our friendship? You give him empty accusation. If I were him, I would do the same thing. I would think about my best friend’s feeling when his/her lover’s past love appeared again. It can hurt my friend, moreover if there is still love between them. Don’t you get it Inoo-chan?” Hikaru struck back.
Inoo had not managed to find words to retort Hikaru’s questions. She became speechless.
“So, what actually do you want from me for telling all of these, Inoo-chan?” Hikaru broke a silence between them. Although she knew what Inoo’s answer, she still delivered the question.
“I-I” Inoo stuttered. “I want you to know my true feelings…”
“And… you want me to stop this wedding?” Hikaru straightforwardly muttered.
Inoo gasped. She wandered how Hikaru could know what she was thinking about. Inoo honestly did not want the wedding to continue. She could not bear the pain for looking Yabu sealed a promise with someone else beside her.
“It’s true then…”
“Hikaru… I-I’m sorry for having such thought on my mind. But I can’t help it. Yabu turns my minds into mush. He makes me crazy. I’m sure you also understand what I mean. We have same feeling…”
“So?”
“So? What?”
“You said we have same feeling… so you know… I also love him… I’ll never leave him unless he wants me to go.” Hikaru stared right on Inoo’s eyes, showing her strong determination.
“Hikaru…”
“I’m sorry, Inoo-chan. I must be hurt your feeling all of this time, but…”
“I’m really sorry, too, Hikaru. I don’t have any intention to hurt you. But, it can’t be helped, right? We loves same person, in the end we’ll hurt each other. At least, I want to be honest.”
“Are you going to tell him?” Hikaru asked.
Inoo gave no response.
Hikaru smiled. “Let him decide then.”
“Hika…”
“May you…” Hikaru held back the tears.
“You don’t need to say that. I know it’s unbearable. I’m truly sorry Hikaru, but I can’t lose Yabu.” Inoo then bowed down and walked out, holding back her tears as well.

Ryuu who still holding Yamada’s hand kneeled down in front of her lover. She believed Yamada could feel she was trembling so badly right now. She tried to speak, “I know you don’t want to hear any ‘sorry’ from me. But I still want to say it for hundred or thousand times until you can forgive me. I do apologize, Yamada Ryousuke. I hurt you twice today… and I don’t know how many times I have hurt you when I talked about Yabu-kun. I do apologize, I don’t remember about little things on your life. I don’t know what song or movie you like now. I don’t know what the recent clothes you buy. I don’t know what food you have tried and you like it or not. I don’t know what place you want to visit now, is it still same as what you’ve told me? I beg your pardon for being so concern about myself, and Yabu and Hikaru’s wedding. I ask your forgiveness whenever you think and feel I was forgetting about you. But…” Ryuu paused a bit, taking another deep breath. “But can you remember the last time we really spend time alone, together, talking about ourselves, freely?”
Yabu, Keito, Yuuto and Yuuri saw Yamada’s eyes softened. Yamada realized something right after Ryuu said that thing.
“We’re idols… and it can be good and bad at once… It’s good because we can easily understand all of the risks of our job. We can understand how busy we will be when we get the popularity. We can’t fully blame the work when we almost have no time to date. It’s bad because… we’re rivals but love each other after all… It’s not easy to catch you up recently… It’s so frustrating when I can’t blame to anything when I really need you to be near around me… I can’t blame the idols work or my study… Those are precious to us… Though both of us are idols… to really understand each other, it’s not as easy as we can turn our palms as we want it to be. You’re so popular… I don’t hate it… I’m proud of you and will always give you all my support. But… it doesn’t change the fact that I’m scared, that I’m afraid. I’m scared your popularity will take you away from me… I’m afraid I’ll lose you because of classic issue ‘we don’t have time for each other’. And apparently what I’m afraid of start to become real, right, Ryou-chan?”
Yamada could not speak any words as his eyes locked in Ryuu’s. He felt the same way anyway to Ryuu. He also could not stand with the thought he would lose Ryuu someday. But, he, maybe did not show it clearly on the right way.
“However… I believe… I believe in our love for each other, Ryou-chan. I believe it can pass through all of our anxieties, fears, doubts, misses, jealousies, anger, and blue days as long as we want and we work hard to stay together. So, Ryou-chan… do you still want to believe? Do you still want to…”
Yamada did not need to hear anymore. He had enough, so he pulled Ryuu up and gave her a warm comforting embrace. “I do my dear, Ryuu… I do believe we can through this… I always want stay by your side as much as you want me to stay. I’m sorry for being like a lost child now.”
Ryuu had no strength anymore to hold her tears back. She began sobbed on Yamada’s chest. “Ryuu, what are you crying at now? You’ll stain my shirt.” Yamada persuaded playfully as he began smiling again.
Yuuto and Yuuri gave meaningful look and smile to each other. They were happy to see their friend like that, they never wanted to see they really fight. Yuuto and Yuuri only loved teasing them, nothing more. It was another amusement they could find to replace the boring time of theirs.
Keito, slowly, smiled. He was glad Yamada and Ryuu gradually grown up with their own way. He hoped all the best for both of them. However, he was envy with Yamada. He could have the love he wanted. They could be happy together.
Yabu sighed in relief since he needed not to give them lecture about love. Moreover, he was indirectly one of the reason their fight, though he hated admitting it. “So, both of you are okay now, right? I’m so relieved.”
Yamada and Ryuu smiled to Yabu. “Thanks, Yabu-kun. And I’m sorry for…just now.” Yamada said sheepishly.
Yabu laughed a bit. “That’s okay. It’s common thing for me being jealousy by other man. I know my handsome look and my caring personality can be a sin. God, please forgive the sin on me.” Yabu pretended to pray with hopeful face.
The others saw Yabu’s narcissism with helpless look.
“Ah, so you were here, Keito-kun.” Ryuu addressed Keito properly this time. And it was she really had no time to do it since she dealt with Yamada’s jealousy. “Why did you leave us?” She asked.
“Eh? Leave you?” Keito raised his eyebrow.
“Yes. You met Yabu by yourself. You didn’t ask nor wait for us.” Yamada added.
“We’re in same sub-group, right?” Yuuto mumbled.
“You also seem to stay far from us.” Yuuri slightly could saw there’s something wrong with Keito lately. He was quieter than usual and liked to take a deep breath. Keito just said ‘It’s just your feeling, Chii. I’m okay.’ When she asked whether there’s something happened to him. However, as she and the others came in to the room, she felt a cold atmosphere that chilled her between Yabu and Keito. Keito was standing in front of the mirror and did not greet them. Yuuri could see something different on Yabu’s face. There was a high tension, but it was not because of the nervous of the wedding. It was anger.
“Ah, sorry for that.” Keito apologize. “I just don’t want to bother two little couples.” He said smirking.
“Keito-kun!” Ryuu shouted with her redden face. She bored being teased by her friends today.
“OK. OK. I’m just kidding.” Keito walked towards Ryuu, smiling and tapped her head.
“So, as Takaki-kun and Dai-chan said, Yabu-kun looks great and handsome.” Yuuto commented Yabu’s way of dressing.
“Thanks. You met them?” Yabu replied.
“We met them in Hikaru’s room.” Yuuri answered. The moment Yuuri said ‘Hikaru’, she slightly felt a thin tense on Yabu’s and Keito’s face.
“She’s really beautiful.” Ryuu added innocently.
“You’re lucky, Yabu-kun.” Yamada said.
“Of course I am.” Yabu smiled happily showing his pride.
“But, there’s something weird.” Yamada said as he sat down on the couch.
“Eh?”
“She didn’t want to look your picture with your suit when Dai-chan took out his cell phone.” Yuuto answered for Yamada’s place.
“Hmm. You’re right. She said something about betrayal.”
“That thing? I forbid her to see me before the ceremony.” Yabu replied calmly.
“Nande?” Yamada and Yuuto wanted to know.
“There’s a myth.”
“When you see your bride wearing her wedding dress before the ceremony, something bad will happen.” Keito helped Yabu answered the question.
Yabu just took a glance over Keito. Keito just stared blankly to the others 7 members. His mind was on Hikaru. He expected Hikaru would be very beautiful. He always waited to see Hikaru with her wedding dress since he fell in love with her. However, he could not stand seeing her with somebody else.
“You still believe there’s such a thing?” Yuuto amazed.
Yabu nodded his head. “Just a pre-caution. But I think even if I don’t see her, something bad can happen.”
“Eh?”
Yabu’s words shot Keito right on his heart. The wounded heart got more more deeper. Keito wanted to go and search for some air to breathe out. “Ah, excuse me. I need to go now. Enjoy your time.” When he should pass Yabu before reached the door, Keito reached out his hand, “Omedetou, Yabu-kun. May you’ll be happy.”
Yabu saw the hand a while before he finally shook his hand to Keito’s. “Arigatou.” Then Keito walked out the room with holding a more painful heart.
