My room

Admittedly, my room isn't complete, yet, since I have to get a couple of pictures up on my wall. But it's enough that I was able to take some photos.

First off, nothing in my room, but something I ate. Easter bunny cake from Publix. Adorable and yummy.

Looking at one wall of my room, I got a new stand for my TV and a new DVD player. Standing guard at my DVDs is my Wolfmon plushie. I got him when Frontier was airing, so I was about 15-16. That's a good ten or so years ago. And time has not been kind to him at all. The paint is rubbing off of him all over the place. I can't even pick him up without it sticking to me, so dusting him is out of the question. Actually, that's what first caused it--when I was trying to dust him off one day a few years ago. So I've made up a story in my head that he's a grizzled war veteran and grumpily staying with the DVDs and glaring at all the kids (Figuarts, I guess?) who won't get off his lawn.

On one side of my stand is my dresser and shelves for my dolls, along with my mirror, which I painted myself from one my grandmother picked up at Salvation Army for $5. On the other side is my new bookshelf, featuring everything else that isn't a book. At the very top are my Princess Jasmine and what remains of my taekwondo trophies. I got a trophy for each belt test, and as a blue belt, I should have six, but Dad managed to break the other three. He's had a horrible track record with my trophies. Also on the shelf (not in that particular picture, since I didn't get the stands until a week ago) are my Faiz trio.

Another set of shelves and my towel rack and hair stuff are right next to it, by the closet. On the other side of the closet are the antique telephone table I use as a nightstand (complete with the decal I painstakingly put on the wall after it was dry) and my bed. Since that photo, we found a tiny Hopkins T-shirt from a toy and cleaned it up and put it on one of my Snoopys. I really liked my school, you see.

Then comes my desk and other organizational stuff, which is next to my final set of shelves. Since he tends to fall down if the door gets slammed, here's my reference pic for Figuarts Ryuki doing his Final Vent pose, since it's really hard to set back up. The bottom shelf is all Ryuki, and to the right are Gashapon figures that I never managed to post pictures of. They're all krazy glued to their stands, since they all fall (well, except Knight), and Ouja no longer stands up on his own. My brain settles this as Ouja being perpetually drunk. Works for me. The top shelf is kind of a shrine to superheroines (okay, okay, I know I have Syaoran there, but I ran out of places to put him, and he had to stay with the rest of the set). It also includes my new Shayera action figure!

So that's my room: a nice little dork shrine.
