I actually like how this season ends better than the 2nd one. True, how Will suddenly able to manifest hundreds of copies of the Heart made me go, "What the hell?!" the first time I saw it. :P The only thing that bugs me the most was when they suddenly decided that Phobos can manifest the Four Dragons against the girls. C'mon! That was totally out of no-where! And they messed up the dragons's color! At least they got it right several episodes ago! Let me remind you their real colors, color-animators:
Irma's dragon is red for water, not blue
Taranee's dragon is pearl for fire, not red or orange!
Cornelia's dragon is yellow for earth, there is no green!
And Hay Lin's dragon is supposed to be black! After the nymph unites them, what's left of the dragon are the Red, Yellow, Black, and Pearl Rivers of China!
But all in all, this was one awesome WITCH season finale. And nice job reviewing them all. Good luck with the second one.

Yeah, season 1 has a lot of moments that really seem like they pulled it out of their asses.

The Season 1 Summation is in progress as I type. I just have to split time between that and watching/reviewing Ben 10.

Love your bit about the Guardians winning over Phobos' people. Their action reflect well on them. They don't just say they're good - they show it. Even many of those loyal to Phobos can see a better future with the Guardians.

It also bugs me that Will can't tell it's not Blunk. I guess it's like Blunk's "all big blue things look same" - but come on, she actually *knows* Blunk. And Blunk doesn't have hair.

Kind of agree on the proctologist bit, too.

I do think the end of the series finale was strong. The Mage's comments (and Yan Lin's, but mostly the Mage's) send up a big red flag and make us very interested in what happens next, and yet it ends with all the good guys in a good place. That won't last long. :)

I kind of wish that there had been a part where Elyon got to speak to her guards and show her humanity to them. Because if I were an ordinary, run-of-the-mill Meridianite guard who had lived under Phobo's tyranny and was finally shown some mercy by the Guardians...I'd be trying to put the Guardians on the throne. As far as I'd know, Elyon would be as worse as her brother or just a tool. But that's the least of the problems with Elyon's characterization.

When you've been around someone as long as Will's been around Blunk, you're not going to make that mistake. It comes off as racist against Passlings.

I agree. It closes off everything very well, provides a satisfactory conclusion to all the buildup across the series, and it ends with enough finality that it would be well-remembered if it weren't renewed while providing just enough excitement to see a second season.
