[The screen is dark for a moment, before the shroud - a hand - moves, flops aside. A white-clad shoulder shifts, a soft, sleepy mutter barely audible over the feed. The view is one from inside a croft, the sleeper just visible at the edge of the camera. He rolls onto his back, showing a mop of pale blond hair, but the angle is too awkward to see ( Read more... )

It's sure been awhile since I've had to welcome people here... let's see then...

I've heard this is an event that is messing with everyone's ages- but basically what you need to know is fairies brought you here. It sounds a little weird, but it's the truth!

An event messing with everyone's ages. [His tone is practically dripping skepticism, his expression only growing drier at the mention of faeries - but there's still a blatant, clear intrigue in his manner. He leans forward.]

Fairies have brought me here - as in, the ones children hear tales about.

That's true, it doesn't sound too weird though if you see one though, right?

[ Viktor will softly call to something nearby...and the little Pillywiggin living in his garden curiously flies into the view of the screen to shyly rest on his shoulder as he snaps a little daisy flower into existence for her to cuddle up to. ]

[...y e p that would be a fairy. And flowers appearing out of nowhere. And Schneizel is beginning to think he's gone totally off the deepend, but he certainly didn't think it's be quite like this.]

More believable - well, perhaps. Weird, though - I'm not sure it becomes any less that.

Yeah there's no way for it not to be weird, I guess. I just wanted to let you know right off the bat I've seen you around here before. Um, older though. So that's why I'm telling you all this... my name is Viktor, by the way.

[He studies the man on the feed for a moment, eyes narrowing suspicion - is he really supposed to believe that people have encountered an older version of himself? But this isn't the first time he's heard such.]

I'm Schneizel. [Because other people might already know, it seems, but the intorduction is almost automatic.] I appreciate you... telling me this.

It's nice to meet you. [ that probably sounds more normal for him to hear. ] No problem!

Um...I'm not sure how long we'll be around here like this, but it'd be best for you to make sure you stay safe in the village.

And you. [Though his tone is guarded, he sounds relatively sincere.

After a moment, he nods. He's still working on (clinging to, perhaps) the assumption that he's been kidnapped, but he'll take what he can get.]

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Well you probably had a croft here, so maybe your friends can tell you where it i-

[ oh ]

...hey are you already in your croft?

I woke up here. [It may or may not be what Viktor is talking about. He is assuming that's a yes, though.]

Hm...well you don't have to worry about being in the village then! Because you're already here, that's great.

Small mercies. Where do people usually turn up?

By the temple out of town normally.

A temple? What else is there, here?

Hm... some wandering shops...a manor with a greenhouse and orchard...a forest, the forge, our town hall, a well, the docks, and I believe there is a little island out there too... oh and the inn!

I see. And there's clearly some number of people, as well.
