That would be a decent start, wouldn't it? [He isn't totally at ease, keeping his guard up as he studies her for a moment before continuing.]

Another in the same situation?

So it seems. They should at least have the decency to reveal themselves.

If that's really the case.

Decency and capture so seldom go hand-in-hand, one is lead to believe.

[Strange enough that someone else is here, it's stranger still that she's Asian - not because it matters to Schneizel particularly, but because it rules out his suspicion.]

We're both far from home, it appears.

True enough. However, giving some form of communication would seem to be consideration. The facts contradict themselves and common sense.

[She nods] So it would seem. From where do you come?

[Similarly, it's strange to see someone dressed like Schneizel, though caucasians are common enough to be unsurprising.]

I'm a Britannian. [He doesn't elaborate. Given the delicacy of the situation, that doesn't seem prudent.]

How long have you been here for, miss?

I see. [Strange, that they'd be here for around the same point.]

And you recognize nothing of this place?

Of course not; we have no buildings like these...stone huts. I assume it's the same for you?

Entirely. The technology's rather out of place, too.

Mm, but in the opposite way.

Opposite - [Curious though he is (surely, their technology isn't that lacking), he stops himself. Technology is hardly the point.]

I'd sooner know what I was being patient for, but there doesn't seem to be anyone eager to take credit.

[It's not lacking, just not the same, nothing like video phones in 1960...]

No, generally a kidnapper would love to take the credit, either they're new to this, or that isn't it.

My thoughts exactly. The latter may be more worrisome, if only because it leaves us without an explanation. The ones I've heard are a little... [fucking ridiculous, for a start]

[fucking ridiculous is right.]

Absurd? Yes, I know what you mean, some people enjoy making up stories, I suppose.
