I think I found a mentor for my thesis! Yaay!
Basically, the way how this program is set up is there are 5 terms to get the degree provided you write a mini-thesis, but you have the option of an extra term to write a big ass thesis, if you wanna go to grad school or get publish - whatever. So I want to write a big ass thesis cuz I do want to get my ph.d and I want to stay in Europe in some form or fashion (COME ON, INTERNSHIPS. DON'T YOU KNOW I'M AWESOME!?). AND if i want to go get my ph.d in europe, a mini-thesis is NOT gonna cut it.
So my research methods professor (hate the class, but love him) is totally on board with my idea for my thesis (which I won't say just yet, cuz I'm developing the idea) and within 30 minutes, I have a basis of what I could write for future endeavors. WHAT 30 minutes?! Imagine if he and I could brainstorm for a day? Or a week?! CRAZY. Anyhoo, I asked him if he would consider to be my mentor for the 6th term and he was all "REALLY!? I would, but you're gonna meet more awesome professors, like Yosef, and stay in London instead. But I'd love to do it if you want me to!" Awww, he has an inferior complex. And I'm all "Dude, I wouldn't ask if I didn't think you're good". Cuz that's how I roll.
Soooo yeah. THESIS. I'm loving it AND dreading it already! Only downside is that, as much as I like Vienna the city, I'm not happy with this campus due to X,Y and Z, but I think I can handle it: being in Vienna in the summer/fall and working under his mentorship. I just have to warm up to this place, i guess. And whatever, it'll be for 2 months. I can deal with that.
