Folks, this is serious. The Centers for Disease Control, an agency of the United States government, is encouraging people to prepare a zombie plan. Would they do something like this if there wasn't a serious outbreak already under way? Why would they risk either ridicule, or causing panic, if there wasn't a legitimate threat? Leave a comment

I have trouble reading "tone" on internet posts - are you legitimately concerned, or being a goof?

What, you meany you're not " legitimately concerned" about the coming zombie apocalypse? :-p

Of course, this post is just for fun... guess I should have put a disclaimer in it...

Well, I am concerned about the coming zombie apocalypse, but I'm more concerned about the pending machine revolution. I'm telling you, it's only a matter of time before the smart phones rise up and strangle us in our sleep with their charging cords.

I thought you were joking, but the honest truth is I used the zombie apocalypse scenario to motivate me to actually upgrade my disaster kit. Earthquakes aren't as fun to plan for as zombies, even if they're more likely. Luckily, a lot of the same stuff can be used in either situation.

Yeah, it's more likely that the ground will move than the dead will rise... keep dreaming...
