After swimming tonight, I dropped Pete off and began my journey home. It was normal until I started driving up Blenkinsop. The fog had come in and surrounded every building and figure outside my car. No one else was on the road, and I hadn't seen a car since I first dropped Pete off. Combined with the snow, the fog made everything seem like a dreamscape. I drove 20 KM for the entire ride home from that point on, partly because of the ice on the road, partly because of the fog, but mostly because I just wanted to take everything in. I feel calmer, more contemplative, more relaxed. It was the most creepy yet beautiful experience I've had in a while, and I doubt I'll forget it soon.
