I can’t hold tight
I can’t stay any longer
I can’t let my feelings out
I can’t let you come with me
I sang my English solo for the concert, walking down the thin part of the stage to the large circle in the middle, among the fans, being unnaturally quiet for my performance. Thai fans were really respectful. Back in Korea, there would probably be anti-fans chanting or booing at me, and then fangirls would be screaming whenever I hit a high, low, or long note, or finished a part of the song. Thailand must be a nice place.
Flowers are blooming
The sun is shining
I was already at the end of my solo, I had managed to sing it pretty well, thanks to all the practice. Like I’d said, though, it wasn’t a very hard song to sing, and since I’m originally American, the lyrics were easy to remember too. The appearance of our concert was mostly calm, cool, soothing colors. I was wearing a light blue, button-down top with half sleeves, which were folded at the end, deep blue, baggy jeans, and white sneakers. Everyone else was wearing blue, green, and pink outfits, but I was the only one on stage at the time.
Leaves are changing
Snow is falling
Time is passing
I can’t let you come
I can’t let you become like me.
As I sang the last few lines of the song, Kibum rose out of the stage, as planned. This performance was the main reason why they made me get a pairing in the first place. He snuck up behind me as I sang the last line, throwing his arms around me, and smiling. I looked at him in alarm, then smiled as well, and the upbeat music to the finale, the first song of our new album, Dazzle, started playing. Kibum and I ran back up to the main stage, where Siwon was already singing his first part. I took my place among the dancers, joining in.
Hankyung was the next singer. Then came Ryeowook, Yesung, and Kyuhyun, taking turns singing the lines of the bridge, and Kangin and Eeteuk in the first chorus. After that, all of the other members went to the back of the stage as I danced the solo dance part with Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Hankyung. I barely had to think to do it anymore, since I knew it so well. Before long, it was over, and the rapping part started, Kibum, Eunhyuk, and Shindong. Sungmin and Donghae sang the next verse, and then Ryeowook, Yesung, and Kyuhyun sang the bridge again, in which, instead of doing the normal dance, everyone walked out into the circle in the middle, and Sungmin and Ryeowook (who had a smaller part in the bridge) sang the next chorus.
Then, I did my solo part, Heechul sang his, and then the chorus came up once again, this time for Me, Hankyung, Siwon, and Kangin to sing, since the chorus repeated once. Finally, the song was over, and the stage went dark, and we descended underneath the stage. I stretched, yawning. The concert had taken a long time, and it was all really draining, which was why I had prepared honey water for everyone before, which I heated during Kyuhyun and Sungmin’s duet, which was about two songs before my solo. I found Sunhi, who I had left it with, and poured some out and tested it to make sure it was still warm, which it was. I then handed out the bottles to everyone.
“Ahh! Thanks, Ryou-ah! You’re really amazing~” Yesung said, taking a bottle.
“Do you think it’ll taste good if we put some alcohol in it?” Heechul asked, but decided against it after I glared at him and threatened to…actually, let’s not go there. After I handed out a bottle to everyone, I took the one I’d specially made for myself, which contained some lemon juice inside it. After swallowing a few large gulps, I turned back to the other members, who were discussing where they wanted to eat dinner. They were looking at a list of Thai restaurants, reading the descriptions and trying to figure out which ones had everything they wanted (meaning, good food, and ALCOHOL), and finally decided on a restaurant. Thus, we piled into the bus, everyone in a good mood because of the success at the concert.
The night was spent happily, the restaurant (a buffet with a bar) was really great, and the food was delicious. Kibum decided not to drink, since we were going steady now, and he promised he wouldn’t drink in front of me. Of course, I still warned Donghae not to drink if he wanted to stay together with Sunhi, and Sunhi did the same to Kibum, after which everyone started teasing us about being so overprotective of each other. Well, that’s what friends are for, isn’t it?
After I finished my third helping, I decided that I’d had enough, and went back to get some fruits and dessert to finish the evening. There were so many to choose some, so I just took a little of each type of dessert, and a lot of fruit - they didn’t have any apples, though, which made me sad. I walked back to the table and sat down in my seat between Kibum and Sunhi, happily eating a black and white cake.
“Hwahh, so much dessert! I’m still surprised Ryou-ah never gets fat…” Yesung commented, “can I have some?”
“Get some yourself,” I stuck out my tongue, then handed him a piece of cake.
“I’d just get tempted to get too much if I went by myself.” Yesung took a bite, then fed some to Ryeowook, who nimbly bit off a little. Yesung then ate some more, “Wookie, it tastes like beer now! You’ve been drinking too much!” Yesung confiscated Ryeowook’s glass, and Ryeowook pouted, reaching out to get it back, but then Yesung moved it farther away, out of Ryeowook’s reach.
Kibum stole a cream puff from my dish, popping it into his mouth. He hadn’t gotten any dessert, either. I glared at him jokingly with a pout, and we both laughed at the same time. He then took a strawberry and held it out for me, and I took a bite out of it. Well, I didn’t really take a bit out of it as much as I just stole the whole thing, leaving the leaves on the stem in Kibum’s hands. I heard Sunhi mutter something about fancams, and looked around at the restaurant to see a couple of fans filming us. I smiled at them, waving, and they blushed and stopped the filming.
“Ryou-ah, stop scaring the fans~” Kibum teased, ruffling my hair.
“What? I’m just waving at them.” I said, taking a piece of melon and popping it into my mouth.
“And your waving at them seems to have completely scared them, so stop.” Kibum said, “You have an evil aura around you.”
