Draco looked at the painting, he had just hung in his office, thoughtfully. It had come this morning by owl, wrapped in green and a red ribbon tied around it. It had been a gift from his secret admirer. He placed a finger against his lips, and squinted. He couldn’t quite understand why his admirer thought that he would like the painting. The same admirer who had given him those delightful cupcakes the day before.

It was a Wizarding painting of a winter scene. The people on the painting were happily skating on a ice rink, while the lights on the Christmas three in the background burned brightly. The sounds of laughter and Christmas music filled the room. To be honest Draco thought it was rather kitsch. He preferred the more silent landscape paintings.

He didn’t know why he had hung the painting up in the first place. Not to mention in his office. Yet somehow he felt compelled to. Draco stepped back, sat down in his chair, and picked up the card once again.

Something to look at and think of me. Happy Christmas.

Draco looked at the painting again, and smiled.
