[Ianto walks up to where Akihiko is seated at a computer terminal in the Hub. He stands behind him for a moment, contemplating what he's about to do, before setting a mug down next to the keyboard]

[Dealing with the fact that he suddenly realized his private post was extremely public, and frantically trying to lock it again, Akihiko doesn't notice Ianto coming up behind him.
He jumps, and turns, looking up at the older man]
Uh...oh, thanks.
[Blushing and struggling to hide the sad expression on his face, he tries to block view of the computer screen with his body]
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 3 2009, 04:42:15 UTC
[Ianto crosses his arms, and leans back against the computer desk next to Akihiko] [Shaking his head] It's no use, I've read it already. Not much to do up in the tourist office, and well...
[He bit his lip--he really didn't know what to do in situations like this, but he'd try] After Lisa, a friend of mine brought me coffee and we talked and it helped. So...I brought you a coffee.
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 3 2009, 06:07:42 UTC
[Ianto shrugs] That doesn't mean that you don't feel bad about it. You two were friends for a long time before you got together, right? It's hard to lose friends you've had that long, regardless of the conditions.
Re: [action spam]akihiko_sanadaNovember 3 2009, 06:17:55 UTC
[Hastily, and a little indignantly] We're still friends!
[Reddens a little and wraps his gloved hands around the mug] She just... she doesn't want to be my girlfriend anymore, that's all. I don't think we could ever not be friends. Not after everything we've been through together.
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 3 2009, 06:50:57 UTC
[Ianto nods] Fine, then. Sometimes things work well like that. When... [He pauses, trying to think of the best way to say this] When did you two come to this decision, then? You've been distant lately, but. I mean, it's not my place to intrude.
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 3 2009, 07:08:40 UTC
[Quietly, but fondly] You should know by now that I worry, regardless as to whether there's reason or not. [Puts a hand on Akihiko's shoulder] You should have told me. Maybe I couldn't have done anything to help, but I could've been there.
[Chuckles] I'm fairly horrible at this thing, but I'd be a pretty crap friend if I didn't try, yeah? So, let me try, at least.
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 4 2009, 00:05:27 UTC
[Squeezes his shoulder, blushing slightly, but smiling] I understand, believe me. And I definitely will be less annoying about this than Jack is going to be. Then again, he might not say anything at all. You never know, with Jack.
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 4 2009, 03:49:59 UTC
[He cocks his head, thinking] Well, probably not that annoying, in this case. He doesn't like people keeping things from him, is all, which is rather hypocritical of the man. But...I'm sure he'll be fine.
[He smiles down at Akihiko] I can talk to him, if you like.
Re: [action spam]akihiko_sanadaNovember 4 2009, 03:55:00 UTC
[Squirms again] It...it's not that I was trying to hide it. I mean, I'd have told you both eventually. I just...just wanted to think about it for a while.
[By which he means, get over his emotional reaction and regain his composure]
Re: [action spam]torchwoodteaboyNovember 4 2009, 04:01:27 UTC
Ah, but there, Jack wouldn't understand it that way. For living here for so long, he still has some 51st century customs that he just can't seem to break the habit of, and personal privacy definitely is high on the list of things he just doesn't understand. Anything that concerns his team is fair game, according to him.
[He squeezes Akihiko's shoulder again] Don't worry about it, I'll talk to him.
Re: [action spam]akihiko_sanadaNovember 4 2009, 04:08:11 UTC
[Nods and sighs, slumping back in his seat] Thanks... I mean, I'll talk to him if he wants to, but... [Somehow the idea of talking to Jack about this subject is a bit intimidating]
[Quietly] I brought you a coffee...

[Mumbles, unconvincingly] It...it's not a big deal. I mean, it was sort of mutual.

[He squirms a little] I had a feeling for...I dunno, a couple of weeks now. But we didn't talk about it until yesterday.

I'm sorry I didn't tell you, Ianto. I just...wanted to deal with it myself, I guess.

[Pauses] You-you'll be alright, though?

Do you really think Jack will be annoying? [He's not sure exactly what that would entail]
