Akihiko hopped home for the weekend most weekends, unless Torchwood had something crazy going on that prevented him from doing so. He hadn't been home for a little while, so instead of going straight to his own apartment first, he decided to head to Mitsuru's place.
He synched his watch with a clock he walked past, noted that it was after 7:00, and headed for her apartment. Though Mitsuru was busy with work, he thought it was likely she'd be home by now.
