Lol.. yeah super wow, I've updated twice in a row *gasp*
Just wondering, what do you people think is a reasonable amount of pocket money per week for students such as yourselves? And I mean reasonableReason why I ask is I just want to clarify some stuff for myself. I'm not sure if what I am thinking is out of tightness or selfishness.. whichever it ( Read more... )

I agree with the two people above. Look i don't work but that doesn't mean i shouldn't be. Cos i really SHOULD be working. hmm I get about $200 a month. Which $80 goes to my bus ticket. I also pay my own phone bill $25-60, food and other things (amenities, recreation, pressies etc etc). Having said that though, if i bring food from home i don't need to pay but I rarely make the time to make my own lunch... So not a lot, but i make do cos i'm pretty low maintenance and i don't have much to spend money on.

Yeah I understand what you're saying. I get around the same as you but mine is luxury cash... I don't pay for anything other than food and prezzies, leisure stuff. So I do save alot.

hehe hey i'm not saying i wouldn't want more too but i don't really need it, and if i do i should get a job. Yeah i agree that pressies are more expensive but that's usually fine with me. I'm rarely invited to birthdays and stuff anyways so i'm happy to spend 20-40 or more depending on who the person is (been to about four this year). If i'm invited and don't really know them, i might just get them a drink or something. But if you always have birthdays then reducing the cost is understandable. Personally i don't think people need to get me pressies anyways, unless they want to. So they don't :P Then again i havn't really had any celebrations in the past anyway. hehe i'm a bitter bitter man...

Lol more is good I guess haha, but for me it's about control for siblings. Any normal human being wouldn't mind the extra cash but when I have to consider all the other factors in, its a different story ^^;

Even if I don't get invited to bday parties, if they're my friend and I actually remember I would get them a present anyway. You no get prezzies? :O Everyone should get a prezzie on bday! But then again even a simple msg to say Happy Bday is enough, shows they actually cared enough to remember. So no bitter bitter man *chucks sugar at you*

you are quite right. I would get them a pressie anyway. But i think i'd have to know them well enough to know what to get. So that isn't many pressies anyway. Course i get pressies....from my family. See I also think a message is enough. But i don't like going 'oh it was my birthday' before someone says something. Mum sent me a message on my birthday this year... well she called as well. So did sis and my bro. (I was away). One friend i hardly ever see anymore wished me happy birthday before i left, i was like awww we hardly see each other and still they kinda remembered. On my birthday i got ONE message from my friend (you know who)... but it was a birthday i'll always remember anyway... So i chuck sugar back!!!
