I made a giant-ass sandwich for lunch today, consisting of very basic materials: a third of a large loaf of bread, ham, cheese, and a pickle. It wasn't as large as a Subway footlong, but it was fairly close. About three quarters, I'd estimate, though the amounts of condiments and "innards" were much smaller and less fancy.
But it was still good. And I was very hungry.
It turns out that there's still some problems regarding registration and whatnot, but it seems that everything will work out soon enough. At any rate, I'm attending class and lab and pretty soon (read: tomorrow) everything will turn into hell. Tomorrow the lab proper begins, and every day will be a conglomeration of long names mixed with structures and models. That's nothing to next week, though - on Monday I will have an Orgo and a A/P lab exam, and Tuesday will be the A/P lecture proper exam.
I foresee having absolutely no weekend at all.
The bright side of the coin, though, is that I'm more or less keeping up with everything. True, I still have to make flashcards for reaction mechs for Orgo, but everything easier this time around. I worked on outlines and note rewriting and problem sets, and so far nothing's been too troublesome. If the exam is reasonable then I hope (knock on wood) I will do well.
As for A/P...well, I have to do a little catching up. Lab shouldn't be too too bad of a problem, but lecture's moving fast. To study for that I'm makin outlines that combine lecture and book materials, but at times that can be slow going. Reading is slow, outlining is slow, and I still have to listen to the lectures I've recorded!
cytosis, unfortunately, is still out. His family decided to extend his stay and he'll only be back this Sunday. Which means that the flashcards he promised to make for me aren't going to be available...dammit. I was hoping not to have to do that part because he would.
