(This is why I've been dead online recently. Well, this and the doujinshi I'm working on.)
I love it when things from Ebay arrive early instead of late. I was supposed to get a DS for my birthday next week, but it ended up arriving last week. So, I've been captivated by the wonders of Pokemon Platinum (though it's a strange feeling to be an entire gen behind, and hopefully I'll have one of the gen 5 games before all the good events are over).
Both multiplayer and Nintendo wi-fi are awesome I almost broke the internet trying to configure my router at home to have compatible settings with the DS Lite, but that's unimportant... and I've even traded with people from Japan already.
I'm not sure how many of you play Pokemon, but my friend code is 5200 2552 5912 for anyone who's curious. However, for the moment I'll only be able to use wi-fi on weekends, since the internet at college doesn't have the right configuration.
I was going to complain about having to chase after Mesprit then wasting a ton of balls on it only to have it run away after my Haunter fainted, but then a few minutes later it happened to be in the same area I was in when walking around looking for a Medicham. Making Haunter relearn Hypnosis after the first encounter was a very good idea.
I haven't stalked a roaming Pokemon since Latias in Sapphire, so I'd forgotten how frustrating they are. At the same time, I also forgot how exciting it is to chase after them. It'll be...interesting...to have both Cresselia and the legendary birds to find after I get the national dex. I'll definitely capture you!
