General Update

Work's going well. It's all right, for the most part. The people are good, the labor itself isn't too difficult, and it doesn't leave me depressed and misanthropic like WalMart did.

There's not too much I've done there that's all that exciting. It does suck that I have to get up in the 6:15-7:00 AM range so I can leave by 7:30-7:35 so I can be at work by 8:00ish. Especially since I then work until 4:30 and get home by 5:00 PM. Due to that and sleep, I barely have enough time when I get back home to divide between myself, my wife, and my son.

Weekends are nice because they are 3 days long, though, and I get to divide up my time fairly well, but I tend to oversleep because, despite having to get up early in the morning, I still have a hard time getting to sleep until eleven or midnight.

However, weekends might be leaving me for a long time, as I am hoping to get a job working at Scovill Zoo. I need to call the guy back, yet again, so I can see if he actually wants to hire me or not, but, I did go to one interview already and that seemed to go fairly well. It'd be good money, as it'd almost entirely pay for rent, but it might cause some problems vis a vis our food stamps decreasing. Hopefully not, though, as it will be fore 3 people, two of whom have to repay student loans and are otherwise completely broke. Also, I'd need to be able to change my work alternate weekends, just so I can get 2 days off a week instead of just 1. It'd mean about $60 less every two weeks, but I think that might be worth it. It might push the money situation down enough to keep more foodstamps, while hopefully not eating too much into our other finances.
