Well, the ADM job fell through (that's Archer Daniel Midland, Pan, and it is a company that processes a lot of agricultural products for use in food), and if I don't get the pharm-tech job, then I am going to have to get work as some sort of fucking minimum wage bullshit that a sufficiently trained monkey or a halfway well-programmed machine could ( Read more... )

Is this a y'all specified toward me, or a ubiquitous y'all?

Anyway, yeah, real life sucks. D: At least, as my post immediately after this indicates, my prospects have lifted a bit, and I might still be graced with good fortune and get a job at a pharmaceutical company that pays $18/hour, in which case, I don't think I'd much care about repetition or menial labor because, hey, I'd be getting nearly $150 per diem.

It was a pretty generalized y'all. I went on a few rants at multiple Northland kids awhile back.

I remember I sent Pan into a panic when I told him his degree was useless.

Yeah seriously...welcome to "adult Life" and parenthood! You may have to do what Nick is doing and just get a job (or two) to supply and income to support the new family...then work and wait until you find something that you really want to do. It sucks, but bills need to be paid and babies need to be fed and clothed. Good luck with your search through the job market!

Like I told Will and as I said on my next post, my job prospects seem to be improving and, truthfully, probably weren't nearly as bad as I was making it out to be. I have a mega-interview with Tate & Lyle on Tuesday, and I might still get a job with a pharma company for $18/hr, so things might go well for me. I think the main thing was is that the ADM interview went incredibly well and it just disheartened me a lot when they told me I wasn't being hired.

I it makes you feel better... know Andre? Mr. Awesome epic? He's got a not-so-glam job. But even as suck as it is (believe me it is suck butt) he is happy because he's payin' the bills and being with Carrie. So he's happy.

And so Jason, my friend Jason will be happy (or at least "good") with life so far.

I'll probably get a suck job once I get out.
