I saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I didn't particularly like it. Aside from Time Warp and Touch Me, I have difficulty even remembering the tunes to the songs, much less lyrics and titles.

I found most of the characters to be reprehensible (for instance, only the wheel-chair bound doctor and Columbia were the only characters who I found to not be completely distasteful, aside from Eddie, but, I can't say much about him, because he was around for a total of ONE SONG). Because of that, I couldn't really like the film. Brad was spineless and unfaithful; Janet was okay until she apparently forgot that she was engaged to Brad (and if her love for him wasn't that strong to begin with, then maybe she shouldn't have agreed to be his FIANCEE, which either makes her an idiot or manipulative, neither quality I embrace); Frank-n-Furter was a total slimeball through-and-through; Rocky was a non-character; Riff-Raff and Magenta were assholes; who else was there? Anyone of any mentioning?

So, there you go. A movie that has only one really good song (Touch Me is only remembered for it's ridiculous lyrics and tune that has embedded itself in my brain, much as a parasitic wasp implants its larvae into a caterpillar, only to have the wasp larvae devour the caterpillar alive) and a cast of characters that is filled with characters whom I loathe.

And it's not because they're evil, because they aren't really evil. I just find them immoral (which is somewhat distinct from evil). Or, at least, if they are evil, it is the banal sort of evil instead of a balls-to-the-wall sort of evil (which I can at least respect in a villain).
