Best freaking beginning of the week EVAR.
I've never had a better Monday in my life. All thanks to DA and Lala-san (

After my first class, Wester Heritage (Humanities, basically), I decided to go check my mail. Lo and behold, I had a package notice. So, in the utmost of haste, I discreetly ran screaming and laughing to the teller at the post office and threw her the notice and my ID (okay I think I was a bit more physically composed than that but this gives you a picture of what was going through my mind).
See, the night before Lala had told me she'd sent out my access and DA goods I'd gotten though her. This being the first year I've been able to buy such things, I was (very very very)^1786564 excited.
I received the beautiful manilla envelope package from the teller and immediately dashed off to music lit class where I proceeded to tear it open with gusto.
There was magic inside, my friends. Pure gold, shining, fag magic.
THE STUFF I GOT:
2 DA Metaverse Drive keitai straps (one for my phone and one to make into a necklace, which turned out very cute)
DA Metaverse tote bag (which smelled kinda funny till I sprayed it with Febreeze....lol packaging)
The access 2009 Summer Style pamphlet
The access 2005 Film, Talk, and Live Event pamphlet (Lala had extras so I bought one)
and then Lala gave me a Gravitation Remix tankoubon (manga book) cause she said she didn't know what to do with it and I do love Gravitation <3.
Also she threw in a copy of the Goodbye Charlie poster!!! It's now on my wall added to my DA Family shrine (which will continue to grow).
Although I really should have waited till I was in the privacy of my dorm room to sneek a peek at that. ^////////^ yeah.
(In my defense I hadn't honestly known what to expect inside....since the manga and anime are relatively clean shounen-ai)
I showed Adachi-sensei, my Japanese teacher, the access pamphlet and the keitai strap because I'd told her about Daisuke and access being my music idols. She thought they were cool (LOL) and said "Kawaii desu" at my keitai.
So then I sped off to work which was fun, already having an extremely awesome day thanks to the help of Lala-san. BIG SHOUT OUT to her!!! THANK YOU LALA!!!!
And then the night came, which brought one of the happiest moments in the history of my life.
I logged on to DAnet and checked the Staff Diary, which was funny cause it had a CRAZY SCARY HUGE picture of DA featured on the first page looking all tired and zombified (poor guy.... ;_; )
Then I noticed Neo Age had been updated. I was like, "Oh cool, I'll check this and see if he reads the email I sent him". To be honest I wasn't really expecting him to; I'm sure Neo Age gets a lot of emails every day. I still like listening to the broadcasts though, sometimes I can understand little bits and pieces of what he says, which is cool. Plus I just love hearing him have a one-sided conversation with himself.....lol
But anyways. The broadcast started the letter reading session and I heard him say "Florida, U.S." My heart STOPPED. I couldn't believe what I'd heard.....Then he said "Sara-chan". At first I thought he'd said my name, and I FREAKED. Then he started reading the letter and it wasn't mine.....I was disappointed, gotta be honest, but at the same time I was REALLY happy for Sara-san. Congrats, again!!!
Next was Scales' letter. I was SO EXCITED when I heard her name, especially the way he pronounced it, it was so cute! "SCAYRUZU-CHAN" and "AIRISHU". Her letter was awesome, she called him "Mr. Asakura" which I'd sure made him feel all important and special (which he is, but I digress....) I wish I could have told him how much I liked Metaverse too, but since it isn't available in the USA (YET) I felt it would be suspicious to mention that in my email (I DO NOT WANT A JAPANESE LAWYER ON MY ASS). congrats again, scales!
Scales' email was another international one, and my hope rekindled....what if he read mine as well, since we seemed to be on this international roll?
My hope found reality. When he said my name, when I heard HIM say MY name, I immediately paused the stream. My heart stopped. Again. I was on AIM with Lala the whole time and when I heard my name I could hardly type her the news, I was shaking and laughing and starting to cry. I turned the clip back on and listened to him read my letter ("HI DAICHAN, HYUGEEE FAN OVU YOU, TAMPA, DISUNEEWARUDO, LOHVU FROMU CEHLIA"). I cried harder and couldn't speak except for the strange laughing/crying sounds I was making. I didn't scream but only so that I didn't scare my roommate or RA (I'm glad I still retained my common sense in that moment....shows I do indeed have an independent mind)
I listened to it, paused it and logged off of DAnet. Lala recorded it while I went outside to call my friend Morgan who also loves DA to tell her the news. I had to leave her a message but she called back and we flipped shit together over the phone. Then I called my mom who is very aware of my DA obsession and told her and she was happy for me and she told my siblings. I was surprised how excited they were for me, cause my mom and my sister think my love for DA is weird and don't follow it (which is true but whatever....); my bro was more excited cause he likes DA just not obsessively. I was crying and babbling and laughing and then when I went back inside Lala had finished recording the broadcast and I put it on my computer and iPod and listened to it about 987392047 more times.
I was on a DA high for about 5 hours afterward and fell asleep around 2 in the morning after taking a calming pill. (LOL)
TL; DR: I GOT GOODS AND MADE DA HAPPY AND WAS SO EXCITED THAT HE FINALLY KNEW MY NAMMEEEE
