School news x 2
Just checked my final grades for college, but only two have recorded them so far; I've earned As in both History of Civilization I and English Studies! Wooooo. Go me. Not that I was doubting I would get As, but it is nice to see them. So my GPA is a 3.909 right now, and will go up even more when I get As in my Public Speaking class and Intro. to Sociology. Yay
I am enjoying my second day of break. *nods* Except that I have to go to high school for that one measley POD class... Booooo.
In other college news, I still don't know where I am going, BUT Point Park has now given me scholarships! I got $20,000 for Academics and $2,000 for community service, to be split over 4 years (which leaves the cost still at $17,000 per year). Annnnnd they also nominated me for their Presidential Scholarship, so I am going up January 15th (the day after my birthday!) for an interview and all that jazz. If I win that, I would get $40,000 for 4 years. Cooooool.
Now I am still waiting for some other colleges to accept me. My goal over break is to make a spread sheet of all the colleges I have applied to and all the facts I am looking at them for (cost, scholarships, size, etc.) so I can compare better. And I have to apply for scholarships (though I wish I could just keep getting them like I have for Point Park and Ashland...I didn't even have to apply for those! :D)
And now, off I go to make some Christmas cards!
