mmmm. lunch break. :D

had a lot of fun over the weekend. our group of friends had a party on friday night. by far the best get-together we've had. lots of drinking, lots of fun. but then... angela drank a little too much. i was frustrated at the time, but i know she was having a good time, and i love that she's able to unwind like that every so often. she really deserves it. so i took care of her, made sure she got to bed ok, and then i passed out.

i was supposed to get up early with matt and take his car down to the honda dealership for his scheduled maintenence, but he didn't call me. he slept in (with good reason, we were all pretty trashed). but we hung out for a little bit early that afternoon. then angela and i went to stonebriar and went shopping. i feel bad spending money on myself. i normally never do it. i feel like i've got better things to spend my money on. but i ended up buying 3 pair of really expensive (to me) jeans. i've never spent more than $50 on jeans before. but since i'm down to 2 pair (one of which is falling apart), and i don't plan on gaining or losing any weight in the next few years, i figure it's a good investment. and i bought a shirt for angela that says "my other car is a mustang" that she really liked. :D

sunday angela and i went to ikea with matt. saw some stuff that we'll probably end up buying for the apartment (but probably not until we move). and then we went by gamestop and i picked up The Urbz for angela. kinda like The Sims, but more... edgy? meh, i don't get into that genre of gaming, but angela seems to enjoy it. i also picked up a mega man classics game. megaman 1-8, and 2 games that weren't released in the US. so that should keep me occupied for a while (even though i've already beaten most of them already). that series has always been one of my favorites. and then we all went to this small pizza place right near our apartments. i've never had pizza by the slice where the slices were this huge. it's like $2 a slice, and i think 2 slices (maybe 3) would fill me up. not too shabby. the place looked like it was owned by a foreign mafia. i couldn't really place the nationality, but there were at least 5 guys working there that had the same hair color and texture, and skin tone. and 2 of the patrons did too. *shrug* they make some damned good pizza though :)

yesterday was a lot more hectic than i was wanting it to be. angela and i haven't been taking care of her dog like we should be. he's being neglected somewhat. we haven't been taking him for walks lately. we've forgotten to take him outside at night before we go to bed. but we woke up on monday, and he had peed in his kennel. so we cleaned it up, and she started getting sad and saying that we need to give him to a home that would take care of him better. but i've since convinced her that we aren't going to do that. that we just need to try harder when taking care of him. as much as that dog pisses me off sometimes, i've still grown to love him. he's not a bad dog because he's trying to be, he just hasn't been trained yet. my first dog really ruined it for all the other dogs i'll ever own. he was trained when we got him. he'd sit, laydown, stay, fetch... he didn't beg for food when we ate, he played nice with the cats... he was just a really well behaved dog.

anyway, after work we stopped by the house for a little bit to let lucky out and play with him for a little bit. then we headed out to arlington to see angela's mom and go out to kirklands in the mall. when we were shopping on saturday, we found a painting that we wanted, but someone bought it while we were looking around the store. so we found another one in arlington, and we got it for $25 because the frame was chipped a little bit. the sales lady put some touch-up paint on it, and it looks great. we also got another painting for around $50. angela's mom was at the mall as well (just not with us) and we ended up needing to use her car. we found out rather quickly that the paintings wouldn't fit in the mustang. so we got the trailblazer, and headed back home. we got home at around 9:00, and i was asleep before 9:30. i was waaaaay tired.

and today is going very very slow. it's so damned boring. i'm trying to get this stuff done, but it's so hit or miss. the only sites that are left are ones that are difficult to get access to. i have to try for hours to just connect to them. so i'm literally sitting at my desk clicking a button over and over again... fun stuff...

this post was a lot longer than i thought it'd be... oh well. :D
